Kids to Camp (July 2021)
The good of the “Kids to Camp”, comes from a programme where kids are subsidised and transported by our club members, giving an invaluable experience for the child and relief for the family that has to work through the School Holiday. An example is a child, who comes from a family of five and who’s father is in hospital.
This term’s program had an Olympic theme and the next one is Jurassic Park.
Kids to Camp (2019) – Willow Park, Eastern Beach
Our club sent four children from Onehunga Primary School and Te Papapa School to camp during the October school holidays. The club met the entire cost of the four nights and included safely dropping off and picking up and returning home again. Children from years 5 – 8 were selected and feedback from both the kids and the Camp management was exceptional. Our club will send four more children from other primary schools in our catchment to Camp during the April 2019 school holidays.
